Really amazing and unique place to stay in this 70’s hideaway on the edge of Dartmouth. Once you catch you breath after the 100 steps to the front door, you will be rewarded with a really quirky and stylish house hidden in the trees, but with tantalising views of the River Dart. It was so quiet at night and it’s only a 20 minute walk into the town that you really have the best of both worlds. Perfect for a couple or young family. The garage at the bottom was fine for our little polo but you might struggle to get anything bigger in it but there was space on the street if needed. We loved the place and will be back!

We had a fabulous stay. The accommodation was fantastic. We loved the hi spec kitchen for the only meal we cooked whilst there. It was a home from home. Only being a brisk 5 min walk from the promenade was a bonus. Near to restaurants and shops too.

Beautifully presented and spotlessly clean property with fabulous views. Ben and Lauren were very responsive and accommodating, allowing us an early checkin which was super! We didn't have a car so caught ferry from Barbican (£3 pp and only a 5min trip) so easy! Ventured back and forth to Barbican for cute pubs, restaurants and shops. Good to note there are no local shops near the property so bring food and necessities with you. We brought food in Barbican. Again, very easy. Property had great bbq and balcony to sit and enjoy the views. Well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. We had two dogs who loved the space, the dog treats (thank you!) and the dog bowls. We didn't want to leave :) Definitely recommend this property.

Gary's is a fantastic host and his home is stunning, we have stayed here quite a few times and its been exceptional every time. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!

I would highly recommend this property for larger groups. Great location, clean, spacious and modern. Communication was almost instantaneous and check in was via a box on site, so very easy! Car parking for at least 2 cars with on street parking for other within a minute or so walk, and having the Tesco nearby was convenient for fuel and anything else we needed during our stay. Would easily stay here again!

Daryl's place is amazing, just as pictured and described. Very modern with everything you need. The garden was also a great size and very secure for our dog who enjoyed the freedom of being able to go in and out as he pleased. Darly was a great host, responded quickly to any queries and was very accommodating and flexible as we were there to be close to my mum why she was in derriford hospital. Would love to stay here again under better circumstances one day! Thank you!

Great stay at No.1 Beachdown. Everything we needed for a perfect stay and amazing views. Had a very relaxing week and so many great places to visit.

Beautiful apartment in stunning location! Spotlessly clean-and comfortable. The view over to Burgh island is amazing! Watching the tide ebb and flow is mesmerising! We enjoyed walking the coastal path, visiting pubs along the way. Journeys End is great pub with good food - but need to book to avoid disappointment. A visit to Hope Cove and a sea dip were also a delight! We hope to return in future!

Lovely place, perfect for a few days away. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Brilliant park right on the doorstep and very dog friendly. Pleasant walk into town takes about 30 mins. Very responsive hosts and loads of communication prior to arrival with clear instructions on how to access keys etc. also answered the phone straight away when I had a query about the key box on leaving the premises. Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic stay at Dans Airbnb, would definitely stay again! Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Felt very at home in my stay there. The parking was a bonus, and tricky to get in Exeter! Only one minor thing to note, and not an issue from Dan at all, but being a ground floor flat the upstairs could be a bit noisy at times!

I booked Dan’s place for my mother in law and her friend visiting Exeter for the first time. They were very happy with the cleanliness, accessibility of the flat and the excellent location. We highly recommend the flat!

Mia’s place was gorgeous, spacious and clean and had everything we needed. It was lovely to have all the necessities there, including milk and toiletries to use. It’s in a great location and Mia was always so friendly and responsive. I would 100% recommend! The only bit to keep in mind is that this is not exactly an apartment, but a self sufficient section of a family home with certain doors locked to make it private. The parking is also an extremely small lay by in front of the back garage, accessible by a very steep, narrow single lane ally way. Mia was helpful in helping us find this, but just be aware that if your car is larger than a fiat 500 and you are not a confident driver, you may struggle.

Amazing spot will definitely be returning, the views are amazing and plenty things in place to make your stay comfortable. The place was completely spotless. Plenty coastal walks around.

Enjoyed our stay very much, two excellent (but with different vibes) pubs a 5 minute walk away. Check food serving days though, Sunday to Tuesdays is limited (same applies over the water in Dartmouth). Easy and frequent passenger ferry and vehicle service to and from Dartmouth five minutes walk at bottom of road . Great vista from the apartment. Two excellent National Trust properties nearby, and lots of scenic walking. Plenty of exercise thanks to the gradients !

Another great holiday at Goodrington Lodge. We've stayed numerous times in different apartments here over the last 10 years or so and we still come back every year. The location is great for us and is very dog friendly. Our 2 Jack Russell's love it. Apartment 7 is ideal for us and the dogs and was spotlessly clean on arrival. Adam is a great host, very friendly and quick to reply to messages. We will be back again for certain!

Great apartment with a beautiful little garden overlooking the town. Lots of space for rainy days and evenings. Moira was very responsive and answered all my questions. Bonus to have a parking spot and very short walk into town, although steep but that wasn’t an issue for us. All in all a great place for our weekend away!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Victoria was super helpful and it was easy to contact her asking recommendations during our stay. The apartment is in a super location, walking distance to the town centre, the hoe and the Barbican. There is a Tesco 2 minutes away. Lovely, homely flat, a real home from home. When one needs a stress free, relaxing getaway with no hassles, this property and host gives you exactly that. The view of the sea and estuary from the lounge is simply breathtaking and very therapeutic, watching the boats coming and going as the tide ebbs and flows with the sun setting in the west. Convenient free parking, walking distance from a supermarket and restaurants, the location is superb . Highly recommended, would definitely stay again.

What an amazing stay at Karen’s - the only grudge I have is I didn’t have more time :( Karen’s place is superb - the location, the house, the communication - everything was spot on. I had read previous reviews and was expecting a very good experience but this was so much beyond. The apartment is right on the doorstep to the beach. It is situated at easy walking distance to the town centre and the neighbourhood is very peaceful and quiet. The apartment itself is lovely - there’s load of space, the rooms are very vibrant and it is built and maintained to a very very high standard. I would certainly stay here again.

Amber is a very helpful host; we required a very late checkout and she only charged us for the extra hours we stayed, rather than an extra night (which most hosts would usually charge). Very good host.

A beautiful place in a beautiful location and lovely to get away for a few days and enjoy the fantastic apartment and the views i could sit and watch for hours.

We had a very enjoyable stay - the host was very helpful on arrival, especially in giving us ideas of where to go during our stay. The property was extremely clean and very well equipped, therefore made our stay all the more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this property to all.

A fabulous apartment, spotlessly clean, very well equipped, and an easy walk in to town. Great views from the balcony (and the kitchen port hole)!
