By far the best bnb experience of all my travels in NZ. Perfectly situated between Mossburn and Lumsden, Brookhaven Cottage provides the perfect base for everything Southland. From it’s position on the southern section of the ‘Around the Mountains Cycling Trail’, to the scenic Fiordland National Park attractions and it’s close proximity to several of the finest trout rivers in NZ, the Brookhaven Cottage location is simply perfect. Lynda and Nigel’s generous welcome, hospitality, advice and perfectly presented bnb - suitable for solo, family or small group stays is so very highly recommended.

Deborah & Ross were the nicest and best hosts possible. The property is an excellent value, location, and experience! We just can’t say enough about how great our stay was…a fantastic time. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay. Would recommend this place to anybody wanting a great view of the lake and mountains. We stayed in seven Airbnb’s while in NZ, this was easily our favorite. House was spotless and felt like I could call it home. Book it, you won’t regret it!

Hier ist Seele baumeln lassen angesagt. Eine toll eingerichtete (wir lieben die Badezimmer!), sehr saubere und gemütliche Unterkunft direkt am Meer. Alle nötigen Dinge wie Schampoo, Duschgel, Gewürze, Kaminholz sind vorhanden. Das Haus bietet reichlich Platz und ist trotzdem sehr gemütlich. Es gab ein Master-Schlafzimmer mit angeschlossenem Badezimmer, sowie ein Schlafraum mit Etagenbetten für 1-6 Personen/Kinder im Haus. In dem kleinen Kubus / Häuschen im Garten befindet sich dann ein weiteres Master-Schlafzimmer mit TV sowie ein paar Möbel. Im Flur gibt es dann das Master-Badezimmer mit zwei Duschen in einer Kabine (einfach toll). Also perfekt für ein Paar oder 1-2 Paare mit Kinder (max. 6P). Der Blick aufs Meer ist fantastisch, in einer Minute ist man am Strand (nahezu allein). Absolute und 100%ige Weiterempfehlung!! Cheryl tut alles dass es einem gut geht! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

This is a charming chalet style property with a lovely view. Grant is a really accommodating host. It's really clean and comfortable and a powerful shower. The location is really peaceful and it is a great place to chill out. Ideally located for the Doubtful Sound cruises and 20 mins from Te Anau. On the road to Te Anau you can pick up the Kepler Track (it's signposted off the main road), a lovely forest walk with a suspension bridge. We also rated Redcliff for food in Te Anau

Jade & Carla's place is in an awesome location, overlooking the bay, with easy access to the beach. We felt we could relax in a comfortable Kiwi Bach with stacks of space. Jade & Carla were great at keeping us up to date with everything.

Our stay was fantastic from start to finish! The space was immaculately clean, stylish, and incredibly cozy, making it feel like a true home away from home. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged, with all the essentials provided for a stress-free visit. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The host was kind, responsive, and made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely book again without hesitation!

We loved our stay at Bruce's hide away. Beautiful comfy bed and everything supplied to relax and enjoy. A peaceful spot, so close to Pearl Harbour for cruise to Doubtful Sound. Thanks Yvonne
